Are you interested in learning more about what it really costs to live off-campus? So often students ask “Is it cheaper to live on or off campus?” Most of the time students come to the conclusion that it’s less expensive to live off campus. Quite often, they fail to recognize the hidden costs commonly associated with living off-campus. Come hear from Kevin Sutton, Director of the Financial Wellness Hub. He will provide an overview of costs each student should be aware of when deciding to move off-campus.
Renters Insurance for Off-Campus Students

Renters insurance can help, but policies don’t cover everything—and you don’t want to find out your coverage is insufficient after an incident occurs. It’s important attend this program to learn more about what’s covered in Renter’s Insurance.

Living Off-Campus 101

Most students choose to live off campus after their freshman year. This is why it’s vital for students to have the resources and information needed to make an informed decision on where to live. “Living Off-Campus 101” will discuss off-campus housing search process, including questions to ask, things to consider, understanding a lease, and being a good neighbor. Students can ask questions to ECU staff, property managers, attorney, and students currently living off campus. Students should be fully aware of their responsibility of living off-campus.
Spring Housing Fair: Health Sciences

Off-Campus Student Services will host a Health Sciences housing fair on Wednesday, Feb. 15 from noon to 2 p.m. in the HSC Student Center Grand rooms. If you’re not sure where you want to live next year, or if you want to learn more about housing options close to HSC, you don’t want to miss this event! If you’re interested in learning more about conventional housing near the health sciences campus (furnished and unfurnished), furniture rental, and other amenities you want to attend. The event will include free taco bar!

Off-Campus Student Services will host its Spring 2024 Off-Campus Housing Fair on March 20th from 10 am -2pm on the Main Student Center Lawn. If you are not sure where you want to live next year, or if you want to learn more about moving off-campus then you do not want to miss this event! Students will have the opportunity to meet with surrounding rental companies and various ECU departments. The event will include FREE food, prizes, and great information.
